Feeding Future Celebrates Interreg Cooperation Day with the Interreg Bake-Off Challenge
Bread of Cooperation – A Delicious Symbol of Cross-Border Unity
To celebrate Interreg Cooperation Day and the 35th anniversary of the Interreg programme, the Feeding Future project proudly joins the Interreg Bake-Off Challenge - showing how food, knowledge and culture connect people across borders.
This year’s celebration will take place on 16 December, hosted at the Faculty of Technology of the University of Novi Sad, and organised within the framework of our training course “Branding and Communication”. By combining the Bake-Off activity with our educational programme, we highlight one of Interreg’s strongest messages: cooperation is most powerful when learning and creativity come together.
A Cross-Border Celebration Through Food
As part of the event, the Feeding Future team will prepare the symbolic “Bread of Cooperation”, created in collaboration with partners from Hungary. This special bread brings together ingredients and traditions from both countries - a simple but powerful representation of trust, partnership, and shared European values.
Participants will be invited to taste the bread, discuss its meaning, and reflect on how the blend of ingredients mirrors the blend of cultures and expertise that Interreg promotes.
Bread connects people — and so does Interreg.
Dialogue, Learning and Inspiration
The event will also introduce participants to the Feeding Future project, its upcoming activities, and the role of food in fostering communication, identity, and sustainability. By engaging our training participants directly in the Bake-Off celebration, we create a warm, collaborative atmosphere fully aligned with the spirit of Interreg Cooperation Day: turning borders into meeting points and communities into partners.
