Feeding Future Project Celebrates 35 Years of Interreg with the Interreg BakeOff Challenge
Feeding Future Bread – a Delicious Symbol of Cooperation!
To mark the 35th anniversary of the Interreg programme, our Feeding Future project proudly joins the European #InterregBakeOff challenge — in our own way: by connecting knowledge, culture, and cooperation through food.
Organised by the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad and the Interreg VI-A IPA Hungary-Serbia Programme, this event combines science, creativity, and tradition — showing how cross-border cooperation and food connect people beyond borders.
The celebration begins with a public panel discussion titled “NutriDrama: What Are Social Networks Serving Us?”, where experts, students, and citizens explore how digital media shape our perceptions of food, eating habits and food choices.
After the panel, participants are invited to taste the symbolic “Bread of Cooperation”, baked by the Feeding Future team together with partners from Hungary. Blending ingredients and traditions from both countries, the bread embodies the essence of Interreg — collaboration, trust, and shared European values. During the event, participants will learn more about the Feeding Future project and our upcoming workshops and educational activities.
Through this warm and inspiring event, Feeding Future illustrates how Interreg initiatives turn borders into meeting points, connecting knowledge, communities, and cultures through something as universal as bread. Bread connects people. So does Interreg!
