Stronger Together: Interreg Cooperation Day 2025

This autumn, the streets of our cross-border region will gain new colours, new stories, and a new symbol of unity. To celebrate the Interreg Cooperation Day 2025 – and 35 years of European cooperation – the Interreg NEXT Romania–Ukraine Programme invites the public to witness the unveiling of a large-scale mural on the wall of Gymnasium “Alexandru Ciucurencu” in Tulcea city (97, Victoriei Street).

The mural is more than paint on a wall. It is a bridge of creativity, a canvas where solidarity and dialogue come alive. Just like the murals in Suceava (2022) and Chernivtsi (2024) have become cultural landmarks, this year’s work will carry forward the shared spirit of resilience and friendship between communities on both sides of the border.

Local residents, journalists, and project partners will be invited to join the inauguration, accompanied by a photo exhibition showcasing inspiring stories from projects funded under Romania–Ukraine cooperation on 8th of October, 2025, at 11.00 AM.

Online, everyone will be able to follow the mural’s transformation – from an empty wall to a colourful testimony of collaboration – through timelapse videos and photo galleries.

Because together we are stronger, and together we keep building bridges of trust, dialogue, and creativity across borders.

Join us on 8th of October at 11am!
