Interreg for Safety

We are pleased to inform you that on 29th of September 2025, Interreg VI-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme will organize a special event to celebrate Interreg Cooperation Day 2025.

The event, entitled “Interreg for Safety”, will take place at the implementation site of project RoBg-427 “Partnerships for Overcoming Disasters for a Safer Region”, hosted by the Giurgiu County Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.

The project has been implemented by Giurgiu County Council, as Lead Beneficiary, together with Bulgarian Red Cross, Red Cross Giurgiu Branch and University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”.

The action will contributes to promote the strengthening cross-border cooperation and in the context of the growing number of wildfires across the EU, the action will offer participants a direct perspective on the tangible results.

Participants will have the opportunity to discover the results of the project RoBg-427, focused on improving prevention and response capacity in case of forest fires in the Giurgiu-Ruse area, to participate at demonstrations of equipment and technologies purchased through the Programme, to listen real-life examples and to take part in a first-aid training session.
