Interreg Cooperation Day 2025 - Exploring the Slovenia–Hungary Border
On Saturday, 20 September 2025, the Interreg Slovenia–Hungary Programme and its partners invite participants to experience the diversity of the border region through culture, heritage and community encounters.
The day begins in Prosenjakovci (Slovenia) with a traditional breakfast and presentation of the Pannonian P&G project. The programme then continues across the border to Velemér, where visitors will discover the Painted Church and learn about the role of pilgrimage tourism through the Messages project. From there, a symbolic walk leads to Magyarszombatfa (Hungary), connecting participants with the area’s traditions and people.
Afternoon activities include speeches, music, theatre, and a regional lunch. Workshops, children’s activities, tastings of local products, and demonstrations of Interreg projects (Herba Fest, REGIOTASTE, Vse je v naših bučah) will also be available. The official programme concludes with departures at 16:30.
Participation is free of charge, with bus transport provided from both countries.
Registration is required by 18 September 2025.
Join us! The event will highlight how cooperation transforms borders into meeting points, creating shared experiences and strengthening community ties!
