Music builds social sustainability across the border
The Chamber Music Association is throwing a festival through close collaboration with associations, the tourism industry, schools, churches and private networks in a sparsely populated border region between Sweden and Norway.
In the churches of Funäsdalen, Tännäs, Røros and Ljusnedal, culture, art, folk music and traditions from western Härjedalen and Røros build closeness over the border. Performing is also young musicians from cultural schools in Sweden and Norway.
This is not just a festival. It is a place where music, nature, people and stories meet.
Through this community, we create relevance, pride and a new meeting place that connects generations and creates social sustainability, says Ola Larsson, Vice Chairman of the Friends of Chamber Music.
Interreg Sweden-Norway is not a partner of the festival but like to draw attention to this cross-border initiative and take the opportunity to visit the festival to promote Interreg and cross border actions together with the border committee for Jämtland/Härjedalen and Trøndelag, Felsrådet https://fellesradet.org/
This to celebrate the yearly Interreg Cooperation Day.
