Interreg Cooperation Day 2025 Celebrated in Kyustendil
On 19 September 2025, Kyustendil hosted Interreg Cooperation Day as part of the international theatre festival Acting Europe - Theatre Without Borders. The event brought together young people from the cross-border region, including participants from Kriva Palanka and Kyustendil, highlighting the value of cooperation, creativity, and cultural exchange.
Attendees took part in activities such as a city-wide search for hidden messages and a quiz on Interreg and the European Union, emphasizing cross-border collaboration and shared learning.
This edition also marked the 35th anniversary of Interreg, celebrating decades of connecting communities and regions across Europe. The celebration included a symbolic birthday moment, reflecting the program’s collective and community-focused spirit.
The event was jointly organised by Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria–North Macedonia and Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria–Serbia, in partnership with the international theatre festival, showcasing the importance of cross-border partnerships in cultural and social initiatives.
