The Interreg project PEACE – Alps is shortlisted for the EU Sustainable Energy Awards! The project is one out of three finalists in the category public sector and therefore one of this year’s best projects regarding clean, secure and efficient energy.
PEACE – Alps stands for “Pooling Energy Action and Enhancing their implementation in the Alps”. This project is an Interreg cross-border cooperation project involving 11 partners form 6 European countries. It´s goal is to create a new approach to climate actions by helping energy action plans with their implementation in the Alps. It is all about overcoming barriers and cooperating in order to implement Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs). Thanks to the cross-border cooperation within this project, centralized solutions were developed in order to help local authorities to work on sustainable energy transition.
