Description of call
The call focuses on strategic operations of pluriregional nature, covering multiple NUT III areas. Projects must align with the following specific objectives:
- OE 1.1 (Research)
- OE 2.4 (Climate change and risk prevention)
- OE 4.5 (Health, assistance, proximity)
Applications must have a minimum budget of €4 million, with a total of €33.6 million in ERDF aid available. The submission period is expected from late February to mid-April 2025. All applications must be submitted online.

Spain-Portugal (POCTEP)
The Spain-Portugal border, the oldest and longest in the EU, has a rich history of cross-border cooperation. Over the past three decades, Interreg programmes have strengthened this collaboration, creating lasting partnerships. Interreg Spain-Portugal, EU’s largest cross-border initiative, supports sustainable development across areas such as innovation, energy efficiency, biodiversity, employment, education, healthcare, tourism, and culture. With a focus on the green transition and biodiversity, it promotes cooperation in disaster prevention, renewable energy, and cultural heritage preservation.
