BALTFLOODS Climate Walk and Talk
As part of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Interreg Cooperation Day 2026, the BALTFLOODS project from the Interreg Baltic Sea Region, together with its project and associated partners - the City of Lappeenranta, LUT University, and the University of Gothenburg - is organizing a local event.
The event will take place on 23 September 2026 to bring climate cooperation closer to citizens and showcase the BALTFLOODS project and its contribution to building climate-resilient communities.
BALTFLOODS Climate Walk & Talk is an outdoor event that combines nature, learning, and discussion. Participants will join a guided walk around the project’s pilot sites, exploring how the project is using advanced monitoring technologies to support flood preparedness and improve stormwater management.
Along the route, participants will take part in a fun Climate Bingo activity while learning about stormwater, wetlands, nature -based solutions.
The event continues with an informal talks in the woods panel discussion, bringing together experts and practitioners from different fields to share experiences, insights, and practical examples.
