Interreg in Finland: From Results to Impact
Join project actors, stakeholders and cooperation partners from across Finland and Europe at the Helsinki Musiikkitalo on 24 September for the second edition of Interreg in Finland: From Results to Impact. The event is part of the Interreg Cooperation Day campaign.
The event will explore the results, impact and future of Interreg cooperation in the European Union and provide an opportunity to exchange experiences, network with fellow Interreg actors and discuss the next programme period together and across borders. The programme will open with remarks by Finland’s Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering, Joakim Strand. Morning discussions will focus on the future of Interreg cooperation and building partnerships for the next programme period.
In the afternoon, Interact experts Satu Hietanen and Marko Ruokangas will set the scene for a high-level discussion moderated by Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Mayor Tuija Telén. Members of the Finnish Parliament Jarno Limnell, Miapetra Kumpula-Natri, Mika Riipi and Krista Mikkonen will share their views on the importance and future of Interreg cooperation. A second panel will showcase how Interreg projects deliver tangible results and contribute to regional development and society.
