Join us in the picturesque town of Ape, just a stone’s throw from the Estonian border, for a day of fun, adventure, and cross-border celebration. This year, the Estonia-Latvia Programme and Apes pilsÄ“ta un pagasts are teaming up to mark the 15th anniversary of Interreg Cooperation Day as part of the Ape Town Festival. It’s a day for families, friends, and anyone looking to experience the best of Latvian hospitality and collaboration.
What’s on?
Daytime activities (12:00–19:00)
Drop by the Interreg tent for a mix of creativity and fun:
- Hands-on workshops
- A photo booth to snap some memories
- Games and a language quiz—test your Estonian and Latvian skills!
At 13:00, don’t miss the stories of cross-border cooperation, highlighting the successes of Interreg over the past 15 years.
Guided Tours (Registration required)
For nature lovers, there are two guided tours to choose from:
- 14 km Green Railway Hike (with a 9.2 km option for a shorter trek)
- 5 km Guided Walk: "Discover the Beauty of Ape" with local guide Astra Binde

Evening highlights
As the day winds down, the fun continues with:
- A lively parade through Ape’s streets
- A concert featuring Diana Pirags and Le Petit Paris
