Living Lab in the Zweibrücken Region

Bürgerhaus Hornbach, Bahnhofstraße 4, 66500 Hornbach, Germany
September 17th 2026, from 6 pm

Held as part of Interreg Cooperation Day 2026, this Living Lab tackles a growing challenge for the Zweibrücken region: flooding and heavy rainfall, set to worsen with climate change. The Hornbach River rises in France and runs through several German municipalities, making cross-border cooperation essential to any real solution.

Organised by the Interreg Grande Région project LATI, through the UniGR Center for Border Studies at the University of the Greater Region, the session invites participants to explore flood risk along the Hornbach in small groups - identifying risks, setting priorities and shaping planning solutions in a hands-on, interactive format.
