Patras hosts Interreg Cooperation Day 2026, blending crafts and inclusion
On 25 September, Patras will host the Interreg Cooperation Day 2026, organised by the Greece-Italy Programme as part of the EU-wide celebration of territorial cooperation.
From 10h to 14h, the event will take place during "Markatia," the traditional open-air festival in Patras's historic Markato neighborhood. It brings together two Programme-funded projects: PR.O.GR.E.S.S., focused on job inclusion for people with disabilities, and M.A.R.K.A.T.O., dedicated to reviving traditional crafts.
Activities include accessible visits to a blacksmith and a distillery, craft workshops at Aristi's Lab, and a ceramics showcase at the Mosaic Hub.
The day opens with institutional greetings from the Managing Authority and Joint Secretariat at the Chamber of Achaia, lead beneficiary of M.A.R.K.A.T.O., and ACHADE, its development agency and partner in PR.O.GR.E.S.S
