An event to cross the Drava

On 26 September 2026, from 8:30 to 16:00, Szaporca (Hungary) hosts "Át a Dráván – Preko Drave" ("Across the Drava"): a day of outdoor sport combining running, trail running, hiking and cycling.

The event aims to encourage active sport through the opportunities provided by running, cycling and hiking, and to raise awareness of the protected natural heritage and traditions of the Drava Valley, the Ormánság region and the Danube-Drava National Park — all enriched by the tangible sense of good Croatian-Hungarian neighbourhood.

Races and activities

• Three running races (including trail running), each of which crosses the Drava itself, one of its branches or a tributary.

• New this year: a 3×10 = 30 km relay race, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Danube-Drava National Park.

• A cycling tour and a hiking programme, both non-competitive.
