Cooperation for Good Work and Sustainable Development: Five Challenges in the Northwest Mediterranean

On September 29, 2026, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Livorno will host a cross-border public event at Piazza del Municipio, 4, in the Province of Livorno, Italy.

The gathering brings together project partners and stakeholders, and is open to the public, with the possibility of contributions and interventions from attendees. Interpretation will be provided in Italian and French.

The event is a dissemination activity for the BE STREAM POWER project (Blue Economy - Cross-border Employment Services Networked for the Sea Economy. Capitalizing on the Observatory Platform, the Web, Strengthening Pilot Actions), funded under the Italy-France Maritime Program 2021-2027 and led by the Province of Livorno.

The occasion will serve to present the five key challenges facing human capital in the sea economy of the cross-border area, a sector currently going through numerous transitions. Partners, experts, and stakeholders from Italy and France will address topics including crisis, transitions and reconversions in the maritime workforce; eco-sustainability in maritime professions; the use of artificial intelligence for career guidance and training; equal opportunities for gender and all; and the social economy and socio-labor inclusion of vulnerable people.
