TOGETHER, WE ARE MORE

For 15 years, Interreg Cooperation Day has brought communities together to celebrate the power and impact of cooperation across borders. What began in 2012 has grown into a Europe-wide tradition of connection, creativity and shared experiences — a reminder that when we come together, we can achieve more.

Following the first Interreg Cooperation Day events of this year’s series in Lithuania, the baton now passes to Rietavas, which will become a meeting place for people and organisations united by an interest in cooperation, culture, tourism and the unique identity of our regions.

The event will take place on 2 October, from 10:00 to 13:00, at Parko g. 5 in Rietavas.

This year, our focus is on cooperation, culture and regional uniqueness. Every place has something that makes it special — its own stories, traditions, landscapes, people and ideas. The challenge is to see these qualities not only as something to preserve, but also as a source of inspiration for new ideas and opportunities.

How can we use the uniqueness of our regions in creative ways? How can cooperation between countries, sectors and communities open new possibilities for tourism, culture and regional development? And what can happen when different experiences, perspectives and ideas come together?

In Rietavas, we will explore these questions not only through discussion, but through shared experiences, creative challenges and collaboration. Participants will have an opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, work together and discover how much can emerge when we step beyond the boundaries of our own organisations, sectors or regions.

We warmly invite tourism professionals, representatives of the cultural and public sectors, project partners and everyone who cares about local identity, tourism and regional cooperation to join us.

This gathering is intended to be more than a conference. It is an opportunity to pause, look at our regions through different eyes, recognise what makes them unique, share what we have learned and imagine what could be possible when we work together.

Because sometimes, to see the true value of our own place, we need to look at it together with others.
