A taste of cooperation: Interact joins the Interreg Bake-Off Challenge

The Interact team in Bratislava has joined the Interreg Bake-Off Challenge, a sweet initiative marking 35 years of Interreg cooperation. With creativity, teamwork, and a generous dose of sugar, the team baked a special Interreg anniversary cake and cupcakes representing the many services provided by Interact to support cooperation across Europe. 

The centrepiece of the celebration was a cake dedicated to 35 years of Interreg, symbolising the shared achievements and partnerships built across Europe since 1990. Around it, a colourful array of cupcakes illustrated the diverse services offered by Interact - from communication and knowledge sharing to capacity building, programme management, and digital tools that make cooperation more effective and accessible. 

Baking together proved to be more than a fun team activity, it was also a perfect metaphor for Interreg’s spirit, bringing together different ingredients and talents to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Each team member contributed their own “ingredient” - ideas, skills and enthusiasm - demonstrating that collaboration flourishes when every member brings their ideas to the table. 

The celebration highlighted how Interact continues to support programmes and partners across Europe, helping them to strengthen cooperation and share knowledge in ever more creative ways.
