The project AGEO (Atlantic Geohazard Risk Management), co-funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area programme, won in the Green Europe category and was also the public’s favourite, receiving the Public Choice Award.

AGEO brings together scientists, local communities, and governments to address geohazards in the Atlantic region through citizen science, Earth observation, and innovative risk management tools. The project empowers local communities to engage in early warning systems and tackle climate challenges collaboratively.

In the Europe Closer to Citizens category, the winner was the Shankill Shared Women's Centre, co-funded by the PEACE IV programme.

The Centre provides a shared, welcoming space for women and families from both Protestant and Catholic communities, promoting peacebuilding, inclusion, and empowerment. Its work exemplifies the PEACE Programme’s mission to foster a prosperous and cohesive future across the region.
