The Interreg Programme Slovenia – Croatia 2021-2027 (IP SI-HR) covers nine Slovenian and eight Croatian regions that are located in the border region between Slovenia and Croatia, stretching over 650 km. The programme encompasses an area of 31,728 km², with 46.6% in Slovenia and 53.4% in Croatia, and a population of 3.8 million inhabitants, consisting of 1.7 million in Slovenia and 2.1 million in Croatia. The two capital cities, Ljubljana and Zagreb, with over a million inhabitants combined, are the main drivers of economic activity and attractivity in the region.
