Interreg Cooperation Day

Every year on 21 September and surrounding weeks, Interreg programmes and projects organise dozens of cultural events, leisure activities, and sports across the continent. The goal is to showcase real results of collaboration through engaging activities that bring communities together.

Interreg Project Slam

The Interreg Project Slam is a storytelling competition for Interreg projects across Europe. Projects share their story of cooperation and impact through a short narrative, a professional video and a live presentation.

Participants receive storytelling training. Six finalists are selected to produce a video and present their story at the Interreg Knowledge Fair.

Mapping tomorrow's Interreg: evidence for stronger cooperation after 2027

As preparations begin for the next generation of Interreg programmes, understanding the needs and opportunities of Europe's territories has never been more important. The European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion, better known as ESPON, has produced a new set of analyses covering both transnational cooperation areas and cross-border regions, providing programme authorities, policymakers and stakeholders with a shared evidence base to help shape cooperation beyond 2027.

The storytelling stage of Interreg Slam 2026-2027 has concluded, and the results are in! Interreg Slam is our favorite Europe-wide communication contest, celebrating the human side of Interreg cooperation and turning years of hard work into stories that resonate, inspire, and reach hundreds of thousands of people across Europe.
