Interreg Cooperation Day Clean-up Contest in Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine
The Interreg Cooperation Day: Clean-up Contest 2024 aims to bring together partners from the ENI CBC and Interreg NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme, along with local communities, in a collective effort to protect the environment.
This initiative focuses on cleaning forests, riversides, parks, and streets impacted by improper waste disposal.
The event will take place from September 20th to 23rd, 2024. Participants can organize clean-up events at a location and time that best suit their communities. Citizens are also encouraged to take part in individual or group clean-up efforts to remove waste from public spaces.
Those interested in participating must confirm their involvement by September 19th via email, including event details. Participants are required to follow local health and safety guidelines, and submit photos of their clean-up efforts by September 27th.
The contest winner will be selected based on the amount of waste collected and community engagement, with results announced on September 30th. The prize includes a visit from Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) Reporters in October, who will produce a promotional video to showcase the winning team’s efforts.
