Interreg Cooperation Day Clean-Up in Ukraine
On 19th September 2024, Uzhhorod National University held a clean-up event at its Botanical Garden, a beautiful forested area within the city.
The initiative involved a large group of teachers and students, who worked together to improve the environment as part of the Interreg Clean-up Contest. This initiative was part of the Interreg Clean-up Contest under the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme for the Interreg Cooperation Day 2024.
In the days leading up to this, the university organized lectures on waste sorting and sustainability, aligning with World Clean-up Day. Additionally, students took part in an eco-competition called “Ideas that can change the world,” where they proposed innovative environmental solutions. This initiative reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to fostering ecological responsibility among its community.
