Interreg Cooperation Day Concert in Algarve, Portugal
On September 14, 2024, the Eurocity of Guadiana celebrated Interreg Cooperation Day with a live concert by the Orquestra do Algarve in Ayamonte.
This concert, organized with the collaboration of the Eurocity of Guadiana EGTC, its three municipalities, and CCDR Algarve, was a key highlight of the event.
The Orquestra do Algarve, composed of musicians from fourteen nationalities, is renowned for its extensive concert schedule, performing throughout the year with prominent conductors and soloists.
This celebration exemplified the success of cross-border cooperation, made possible by the Interreg Spain-Portugal Program (POCTEP). Through the project EUROGUADIANA_2020, co-financed by the ERDF during 2014-2020, the Eurocity of Guadiana was created and solidified as a model for cross-border governance.
