Interreg Cooperation Day Heritage Festival in Slovakia
7 days celebration of the opening of the Senec Synagogue
Opening of the Senec Synagogue as a cultural centre and accompanying events, with a 7-days long programme consisting of exhibitions, lectures, concerts, theatre performances and appearances of prominent figures of Judaism and stars of Jewish culture from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, as well as discussions on current social issues related to the overall content of the festival.
An audiovisual recording will be created, featuring opinions from people in Slovakia and Hungary on the topic, “How has my life changed in the EU?” Interviews will be produced on the theme “living under a common EU flag”, as well as an exhibition based on their contents “I am EU too”. The main programme will be complemented by guided tours of the synagogue (the Jewish Cultural Heritage Exhibition), as well as an interactive programme with discussions on Judaism, Christianity, and the search for the key principles that unite both religions (Let’s get to know each other!).
