Interreg Sweden Norway involves entrepreneurs’ creativity to solve local challenge to healthcare
The Interreg project Vältel supports entrepreneurs help municipalities and regions make health and medical care better.
For 30 years Interreg has been supporting and promoting cooperation as a model to develop joint solutions to common problems so that borders areas are no longer at the margins and for instance increasing equal access to healthcare
Today, with the Vältel project, regions and municipalities in the Midnorden area (Interreg Sweden-Norway Programme area) encourage entrepreneurs to help them find solutions to the challenges of health care, for example, improving support to remote and isolated homes of elderly people and compensate for the shortage of medical staff in both Sweden and Norway.
It helps the development of real actions to be tested, evaluated and adopted. It also creates new professional networks who would have not met without this project.
