Two Interreg Cooperation Day Art & Sport Events in Romania and Ukraine
Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine celebrates Interreg Cooperation Day 2024 by organizing two events dedicated to promoting European values, social inclusion, and cross-border cooperation.
Under the title “Inclusion through Art and Sport”, this year’s Interreg Cooperation Day is focusing on engaging children with special educational needs (SEN) from Romania and Ukraine. The events aim to provide a creative and inclusive space for pupils, teachers, and community members to raise awareness about the importance of social and educational inclusion.
The activities will take place in Dorohoi, Botoșani, Romania, and Chernivtsi, Ukraine, and will feature workshops on European values through painting, dance, games, and sports activities.
Locations:
• Regional Training and Rehabilitation Center “Familia,” Chernivtsi, Ukraine (October 15, 2024)
• Special Vocational School “Ion Pillat,” Dorohoi, Botosani county, Romania (Date TBC)
Through these events, the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine programme highlights the importance of equal opportunities and cooperation in the spirit of European unity.
The initiative also showcases the achievements of the 2014-2020 programming period (Legacy ENI CBC 2014-2020), including the finalist project in the Interreg SLAM 2024-2025 competition, SpeEd-2-Labour Market. The “Familia” Regional Training and Rehabilitation Center in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, is one of the beneficiaries of this finalist project.
