IVY empowers Interreg project beneficiaries and programs to enhance communication and cooperation through the contribution of passionate young volunteers.
Attend the online info session on May 31, 2023, at 11:30 CEST, hosted by AEBR’s team. Learn about eligibility criteria, volunteering roles, practical implications, activities, application procedures, host organization expectations, and the role of mentors within IVY. Representatives from all Interreg programs, projects, national authorities, and macro-strategies are invited to explore this opportunity to host IVY volunteers and promote cooperation.
Since its establishment in 2017, over 800 volunteers have participated in the IVY initiative, fostering regional cooperation across Europe. Host organizations appreciate the fresh perspectives and concrete support of IVY volunteers, particularly in social media communication about European Territorial Cooperation. Lorie Mallauran, Manager of French-Italian relations at Communauté de communes de Coeur de Savoie, highlights the positive experience of hosting Giacomo as an IVY mentor, emphasizing the teamwork and trust that resulted.
The IVY program provides a unique opportunity for Interreg projects and programs to have a lasting impact on European cooperation. By joining IVY, host organizations enhance project visibility, impact, and become part of a community supporting young people’s participation in Interreg, promoting European values.
The application process is ongoing, with no deadline, and administrative aspects are handled by AEBR’s team. Volunteers receive financial support and comprehensive insurance directly from AEBR.
